Baptisms
One of the most significant events in the life of a person who follows Christ is his or her baptism. Baptism is a visible symbol of the internal change that takes place in the life of one who trusts in Christ for salvation.
It is a way of publicly declaring: "From now on, I am trusting in Jesus for salvation from sin and I want to follow Him by obeying Him." It’s an opportunity for us to celebrate your decision with you!

Baptism FAQ's
When Should I Be Baptized?
As soon as you have personally placed your trust in Jesus Christ for salvation.
Do I Need To Pre-register To Be Baptized?
It would help us make your baptism more special and personal if you pre-registered and attend a Baptism Preparation Class usually the week before the scheduled baptism, but it is possible also for you to let us know the day of baptism that you are coming and still participate in the baptism.
Can My Child Be Baptized?
Yes, your child can be baptized if he/she has personally placed his/her faith in Jesus Christ for salvation. We highly recommend children under age 12 speak with the Pastor prior to their baptism.
Where Do You Perform Baptisms?
We do almost all of our baptisms at our church location on Sundays and occasionally at homes of leaders with pools. These pools are heated when necessary and the settings are always beautiful and memorable.
Where Do I Come For Baptism?
Services are typically held 2 or 3 times a year. Maps will be provided to you in a variety of ways so that you can invite your friends and family members to join you on this special occasion. We will instruct you on what time you need to be at the specific location.
What do I wear?
Bring your baptism clothes to the service. Women/girls should wear shorts and a (non-white) top rather than a swimsuit, or a dark colored t-shirt that completely covers the swimsuit. Men/boys should wear a swimsuit or shorts, and a t-shirt. Bring a change of clothes, a towel, and a plastic bag for your wet clothes. We have changing rooms in the back of the auditorium. We can provide you with clothes to wear for baptism, if needed.
Will I Have To Say Anything - What Can I Expect?
We will call out your name to come into the baptism pool then ask you for a few words of testimony. However, this is expected but not mandatory. A signed certificate of baptism will be a part of the baptism folder we will send you after your baptism. One of our pastors/leaders will say a few words and briefly lower you to just below the surface of the water. You can then exit the baptism pool and we briefly pray for you. You can then watch as others celebrate their baptism.
Can My Family Be Baptized Together?
Yes! If each family member understands fully the meaning of baptism, and each one has personally placed his/her trust in Christ for salvation, we encourage families to be baptized at the same time. Young children who wish to be baptized are asked to meet with our Pastor for a pre-baptism conversation prior to being baptized.
